I believe that life happens and people are looking for a safe place to talk and to heal. I do not treat any two clients the same. I see people as individuals with unique needs. My approach utilizes different skills to meet each client where they are and to help them find the right coping mechanisms that will help them heal and go on to achieve their goals. I treat people with positive regard, listen with interest and come along-side them to enable them overcome their difficulties.
Experience:
Sheila graduated from Acadia University with a Masters of Education in Counselling in 2014. She did her practical training with Robert Wright MSW; Linda Wheeldon and Christine Fall Moore. She has her private practice and works as a contractor for the Department of Community Services, Child Protection Agency, Transforming Tides Counselling, and the Employee and Family Assistance Programme.

I help clients understand the strong connection between how the foods they eat may be impacting their thoughts, mood and overall mental health. I practice a non-diet approach with a focus on mindfulness to support clients to create healthier habits for lasting change.
I am a Registered Dietitian and graduate of St. F.X. University from the BSc. Human Nutrition program. From there I went on to complete the Graduate Dietetic Internship at The Moncton Hospital. Over the past 19 years I have worked extensively in geriatrics however began my private practice to support clients of all ages becoming passionate in the area of nutrition for mental health.
I am also certified to teach both children’s yoga and chair yoga and strive to instill in my classes the importance of healthy, mindful eating, positive body image and self-care practices. Learning to mindfully nourish and move one’s body at every age is beneficial and helps one feel their best.
